Design & Installation
During the screw piling process, piles are ‘screwed’ into the ground either by hand or by excavator. A structural engineer will calculate how many screw piles will be needed for your area and each pile will be driven to a specific torque, to ensure effective and safe installation. At Essex Screw Piling we understand the importance of having access to the skills and experience you will need to complete your project. Our engineers will work with you to ensure your project is completed to the highest of standards.
Providing Quality Solutions
Screw Piling, also known as helical piles or anchor piles, are usually installed when clients require clean, easy and quick installation of piled foundations with no waste removal. Screw piles are perfect for extensions, single storey new build projects, garden outbuildings and when you are working closely to existing structures, gas lines and areas where you require vibration free installation.

Precision Screw Piling
At Essex Screw Piling we use the most common types of screw piles which are the 76R and 89R piles as they allow for heavier loadings and are ideal for a wide range of soil conditions and structural requirements. Throughout the installation process our excavators are equipped with a torque motor attachment. This allows for monitoring of the torque during the installation process, ensuring that each pile reaches the required design depth and load-bearing capacity.
